Book Review- Different Shades of Women

When you are dedicating your book to a specific gender, it has to be the best highlighting every aspect otherwise it will face criticism. The author needs to be very careful in such cases. Writing about different aspects of a woman’s life is certainly a difficult job and the author has done full justice to it.

Different Shades of Women, as the title says describes the different aspects and angles of a woman’s life. This book is a collection of eight stories which describes the different stages of a lady’s life including mother, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law, wife etc. These stages are completely different from one another and displays how a woman tries to fit in every role. Besides playing an important role in the family, a woman also has a significant role in the society too. This aspect has also been described in the book and that too beautifully. Being a girl I could find this book and the stories in it relatable at various instances.

Yes, every lady is different but they still have some common characteristics. And this book will make you realize that.

The stories are beautiful. Their narration could have been made better to make them more interesting. Besides this, everything was good in the book. It is nothing extreme feminist so I recommend this book to everyone who wants to read something good. This is a light read though thought provoking at times and interesting throughout. You can surely give this book a try and it will not disappoint you. Connect it with yourself or the females around you and you will enjoy reading it even more. The title and the cover are attractive and can make you instantly pick up a book.
