Book Review: You Are The Best Thing That Happened To Me

When you are in love, you would surely feel like doing everything to make that person happy; whether it is through words or through your deeds. When you read love stories, you are bound to get carried away and connect with the characters. Most of the love stories have a positive charm that keep the readers hooked to it but when the things become monotonous, I am drifted away from the story.

The story revolves around the protagonists Sushil and Anjali. Sushil is a mechanical engineer. (I wonder whether the story has been picked up from the life of the author because of similar names and profession) The story describes the struggles of Sushil who comes from a middle class family and what changes occur in his life when he meets Anjali. However, difficulties do not leave Sushil alone. And here it is the test of Anjali whether she will stay by his side or not in those times? Also whether this story shall be complete or remain incomplete?

The concept of the story is good but it would have been fantastic one. The grammatical errors in this book irritated me at times. Even the formatting like place to begin a new chapter was not uniform throughout the book. The book needs an editing. The other thing that broke my flow from the story was excessive description gives at times. I felt that some details could have been skipped out. This would have helped in maintaining the narration of the story and kept the readers more involved into the events happening. Still, I would say that the plot of the story was good.

However, the readers who love romantic stories can surely give this book a try. You can ignore the grammatical errors and this will be a good story for you.

Excessive grammatical mistakes are very common in the books these days. Sad, for editing can really make an average book a fantastic one. I hope more people knew this fact and worked on proper editing.
