Book Review: 37+ Grace Marks

The only reason of me picking up a romantic novel is finding something different in it. The uniqueness and the narration keep me going. The reason behind why I picked up this book is its tagline. The phrase “Because Life is Beyond Numbers” took my attention at once and I could not resist buying it. While ordering this book I kept wondering that why such a title has been kept by the author for a romantic book. Still I ordered it expecting something good.

The protagonist of the story, Viraj, falls in love with Nimisha. Not a slow paced love but it was love at first side. When his friends wanted to have fun, he was serious about his feelings. She was the most beautiful girl and soon rejected the proposal of Viraj. Heartbreaks, friendship and love; this story is all about that. When Viraj is still trying to recover from his heartbreak, Laila enters his life. And then a new chapter begins which has its new twists and turns. The book perfectly sums up college life when the students are struggling with their marks, attendance, friendships and career.

The title is good, the story is also good but I somehow felt that the title could have been different. The cover is good and a decent one. It takes you back to the college days instantly and you are full of memories. The narration is slow at times and the story is even predictable at times. But overall, you can give it a try if you love reading romantic books.

The good thing that I liked about this book was that it was not a pure romantic novel and it had some elements of real life struggles too.
