Book Review: A Few Last Laughs- A Novella

Before I begin the actual review of the book, I must say that the title caught my attention instantly. I became curious to read the book and I enjoyed reading it. The story is portrayed in a typical Indian background and every Indian reading this book shall be able to relate with it at some point or the other. So here goes my review-

The story begins with the groom’s family looking for a suitable bride. It has well described the confusions and the way everything is presented to make the prospective bride/ groom look the best one. And not to forget the enquiries from the neighbourhood and the suggestions of every XYZ relative! The protagonists Smitha and Anand have been portrayed very well and the story throws light on what all happens during the course of the Indian wedding and after that. Yes, life is hard at times and the story well describes the last laugh challenge that is given in the description of the book. You have to read it to find out!

I finished the book in less than an hour. Thanks to the fluid narration that made the book gripping and amazing one to read. This book might even become your good travel buddy if you want to read something in romance but not a typical college romance. I liked the concept of the book. Do take out some time to read this book.

However, the cover failed to impress me. It could have been better and this cover made me think that the book would be a dull read. A better cover could have made this book more amazing and attractive for prospective readers.
